Here are the movies and shows that should be on your radar this weekend (9/15):
Wilderness (2023). Streaming on Prime Video. This thriller series follows a couple that seems to have it all. But when one person discovers their partner has had an affair, they plan the perfect road trip. Will they make amends? Or will their love end in murder?
Elevator Game (2023). Streaming on Shudder. Ryan discovers that his missing sister played the Elevator Game on the night she disappeared. He ignores the warnings and plays the game himself. Based on the creepypasta about a viral game played in an elevator.
El Conde (2023). Streaming on Netflix. A satirical vampire film from Chile that portrays dictator Augusto Pinochet as a 250-year-old vampire. Pinochet is ready to die, but everyone else wants more out of him. This subtitled film has gotten pretty good reviews after premiering at the Venice International Film Festival.
Inside (2023). Streaming on Prime. A thriller about an art thief (Willem Dafoe) who gets trapped in a New York City penthouse after a heist goes wrong. Isolated in the luxury apartment with only art, the thief has to figure out not only how to escape, but how to survive.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Streaming on AMC+. A post-apocalyptic horror drama television series that follows the character of Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) after he departs the Commonwealth at the end of The Walking Dead and washes ashore in France. The first season will be six episodes and it has already been picked up for a second season. If you don’t have AMC+ you can still watch the first episode on YouTube.
The Changeling. Streaming on Apple TV+. A horror fantasy series based on the novel by Victor LaValle. LaKeith Stanfield stars as Apollo Kagwa, a used book dealer who has a child with his wife, Emma (Clark Backo). When Emma vanishes afterwards, Apollo goes on an odyssey to find her.
